- Any child 8 years old and under must be supervised by a parent at all practices.
- When we have morning practices and the pool is not yet open for the day, please keep siblings and children who are not currently swimming confined to the lap lane area. The pool staff needs this time to get ready for opening.
- When your swimmer is at practice, please stay off the swim deck. We ask that you not try to help your swimmer, let our coaches do their jobs. This can cause some confusion among the children as to who to listen to.
- Swim Meet signups will open typically the Friday before the meet. PLEASE have your swimmer declared (whether or not they will attend) by that Monday. This gives the coaches a chance to write the Heat Sheets and prepare for the meet.
- There will be an ASA Referee attending every meet. Parents are NOT permitted to speak with the Ref, as it interferes with their ability to watch the swimmers. If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about a call that is made, please speak with either Coach Brayden or Val about this. They are the only ones who can be interacting with the Ref.
- If you need to speak with a coach about what events your child is in or any concerns you may have, please do so during practice and not at the meet. The coaches have many responsibilities during a meet and are there to observe the swimmers, so they know what they need to work on at practice.
- VOLUNTEERING IS REQUIRED. All parents are required to volunteer at least 4 shifts for your first swimmer, and then one additional shift per swimmer after that. We cannot run a meet efficiently without volunteers, so the more volunteers we have, the quicker the meet should go. You will be able to sign up to volunteer when we open up the meets on the Friday before the next week's meet. You may sign up through Swimtopia. If you cannot fulfill your volunteer requirements, you will be charged a fee of $125.
- Unless your job during the meet is on the deck, please keep this area clear. There is already a lot of congestion and chaos in this area, we don't need to add any more.
- If you have questions, please do not ask assistant or junior coaches. You may ask the Head Coach (Brayden), the Lead Coach (Lilly), or the Coordinator (Val).
- Alcoholic Beverages: There is NEVER any consumption of alcoholic beverages allowed at our summer swim meets per the rules and by laws that we operate under as part of the Atlanta Swim Association Summer Swim League. Any person visibly intoxicated may be asked to leave.
Anyone who repeatedly violates these rules will be subject to a fine of a minimum of $50. This is up to the Coach's and Coordinator's discretion.
