Practices for swim team begin on May 13th. Our first week of practice will be "dry land" practice and will run Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. The coaches will be working on getting to know the kids out of the water and will be conducting endurance work, core strength and overall fitness evaluation.
We will start swimming in the pool on May 20th until May 29th for our afternoon practices. Morning practices will begin on June 3rd. Click on Practice Schedule for practice times for your age group. Swimmers will learn free style, backstroke, breast stroke, and butterfly depending on their age bracket and how to improve their technique.
We understand that the end of the school year and summer are busy times for everyone as kids are transitioning between sports, after school activities and going on vacation. We encourage our swimmers to come to as many practices as they can to stay competitive. No need to notify us if your swimmer cannot make it to practices. For our older swimmers (13+), we would still love to have them on our team even if they can’t make practices, but would like to be a part of the team and compete in the meets.
